MODULAR BUILDINGS
A modular building is a prefabricated building that consists of repeated sections called modules. Modular or volumetric construction uses pre-engineered modular units. These modular units are manufactured in the factory and are transported to site where our site supervising team installs and fits these modular units into a complete building. The modular units may singly form a room sized building or multiple modular units can be combined to form larger buildings such as residential buildings and hotels. Light gauge steel framing (LGSF) is an integral part of modular construction. It is used as the internal framework of the units to which a variety of cladding and finishes may be attached. The framework is sufficiently stiff and robust that it protects the internal finishes against damage during transportation and lifting into place.
CONSTRUCTION PROCESS
Modular components are typically constructed indoors on assembly lines. Our highly experienced on site supervising team makes sure the installation is done efficiently and all the codes are followed. The completed modules from factory are transported to the building site and assembled by a crane. Placement of the modules may take from several hours to several days. Once assembled, modular buildings are essentially indistinguishable from typical site-built structures.
